How did you find your way to Destrooper Biscuits?
Through LinkedIn. Completely unexpectedly, I was invited for an interview, having assumed I wouldn't get the chance due to my lack of experience in the food industry. So, I was pleasantly surprised and had an immediate positive first impression!
What makes you most proud of your job?
Jules Destrooper is a Belgian company with a long history, and I'm proud to actively contribute to the further development of our story. I'm proud of how, after all these years, we've remained true to our heritage while also being willing to innovate so we can inspire more and more people, both young and old, to enjoy our cookies—because they're so delicious!
What are the 3 best things about your job and/or Destrooper Biscuits?
- Our products themselves (how could it be otherwise?!)
- The varied range of tasks
- The colleagues :-)
How do you manage to resist the (constant) temptation of cookies?
Instead of reaching for a cookie every time I get a little hungry, I bring a piece of fruit or provide a healthy snack (like banana bread) that I'm happy to share with my colleagues. We also try to take a short walk around the industrial estate every afternoon. Every little bit helps to reach those 10,000 steps!
