What you do
As a Packaging Specialist, you'll play a key role in the development of our products. You'll be the point of contact for all packaging-related questions within product development and translate innovative packaging solutions into practical applications on our production lines.
You'll actively monitor trends in packaging materials, technology, and sustainability, ensuring that new insights are integrated into our packaging strategy. Your technical expertise enables you to evaluate the feasibility of packaging concepts and implement them within the operational context of our production environment.
Since we don't use preservatives, packaging is essential for product quality. You guarantee that our packaging contributes to the shelf life, safety, and presentation of our products, without compromising sustainability.
Core tasks
- You act as a specialist for all packaging issues within product development, R&D and production.
- You actively monitor market trends and technological innovations in packaging and translate these into applicable solutions for our organization.
- You evaluate and test new packaging materials for functionality, sustainability, and compatibility with our production lines.
- You coordinate the development and implementation of new packaging in collaboration with internal teams (R&D, quality, supply chain, production) and external partners (suppliers, research institutes).
- You work on optimizing existing packaging in terms of ease of use, cost efficiency, ecological footprint, and technical performance.
- You are responsible for translating packaging requirements into technical specifications and ensuring correct validation and documentation.
- You contribute to the realization of our sustainability goals in the field of packaging.
- You advise and support within the framework of legal requirements and certification regarding packaging materials and processes.
Who you are
- You have a master's or bachelor's degree in packaging technology, materials science, food technology or a related technical field.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a packaging role, preferably within the food industry.
- You have a strong technical background and are familiar with production processes and packaging lines.
- You are analytical and innovative, with an eye for detail and feasibility.
- You have an affinity with sustainability and circular packaging solutions.
- You work independently, in a structured manner and are a real team player.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
